CAPS Manitoba is proud to announce a masterclass vertical tasting of 8 vintages from Château Clos Mansio, which shares the same property as Château Cailleteau Bergeron.
We are pleased to be hosted by Pierre Charles, owner and winemaker of Château Cailleteau Bergeron who will guide the tasting with us.
Château Cailleteau Bergeron has been a family vineyard since 1933, located in the Blaye Côtes de Bordeaux appellation which lies 40 kilometres north of Bordeaux. For almost 100 years across generations, the Dartier family has produced quality red, white and rosé wines from Château Cailleteau Bergeron.
Clos Mansio has been a wine estate since 1850, located in the heart of the village of Mazion. The Dartier family took over this estate in 1991 and certified it organic from the 2021 vintage.
The soil in their vineyard consists of clay, limestone and sand - the ideal support for the cultivation of the emblematic red grape varieties of the appellation: Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Malbec.
